SUPPORT THE PROJECT

How to help

Partner with us to make our students' playground dreams a reality.  Donations will be recognized with a tax receipt.  All donations $1000 and over will receive  recognition at our grand opening, and signage.

Dream Big

Our playground design includes three phases for both our early years and middle years play spaces.  Help us to provide challenging, engaging, physical activity opportunities for our children to recharge.

Invest
Invest in the future of Winkler by helping us create an outdoor space that will be both fun and educational.  Our design includes traditional play elements such as swings and slides while also incorporating scientific, musical, cultural and natural learning pieces.  Our space is also highly focused on being inclusive for people of all abilities.

Previous project

With a small grant won  by EA Kim Drieger (GVC), we were able to paint some sidewalk games on our early years cement pad this fall.

Two 4 Square grids were painted in greens, yellow and blue, as well as a 100 chart for both fun and learning.  A sensory path was added with hopping, running, jumping and a "tightrope", and basketball lines were painted for our basketball hoop.

Important Update

Thanks to generous donations from our community and partnerships with Triple E and Diamond Doors, the play structure for our K-4 play space has been installed and swings have been ordered for both the K-4 and 5-8 areas.  We are so excited to share this progress with our school community!  The grade 1 and 2's are enjoying the play structure at recess and our other grades have enjoyed using it during gym and other classes.  We are still accepting donations at the school office, cheques can be written to Garden Valley School Division, memo: Pine Ridge Playground
